Each creation is handmade in my studio, with a commitment to preserving the traditional methods and techniques that give the book its unique character.

Smyth sewn binding, handmade papers, meticulous selection of materials, and finishes applied one by one: every step is designed to create a durable and aesthetic object. You will therefore be able to choose different finishes and details.

*IMPORTANT: Please note that I work primarily with fabric, leather, handmade paper, and embroidery. I reserve the right to decline a project if I believe I may not be able to complete it.

How is a bespoke creation born?

01 — You tell me about your idea via the form below

Tell me about your idea by filling out the form below. Please detail the format, materials, colors, binding, personalization, and any other details you would like to include.

02 — I am proposing a direction

Based on your idea, I will present you with options suited to your project, along with a cost and timeline estimate in a quote that will be sent to you within 2 to 4 business days. Once the quote is accepted, which serves as an invoice, a non-refundable deposit of 15% of the total amount (before shipping costs) must be paid via Interac to atelierpastourelle@gmail.com

03 — I bring the project to life

Once the choices have been finalized, I will create your piece entirely by hand in my workshop. If you wish, I can send you photos during the process to see if everything is to your liking. Once everything is finished, you will need to pay the remaining balance so that I can ship your order.

04 — Your order is ready

Once the order is complete, your creation is carefully prepared and sent to the address of your choice.

What is the price of a custom-made creation?

As each project is unique, the price depends on the format, materials, complexity of the binding, and production time. An estimate will be provided before the project begins. Shipping costs, which vary based on your location, are also added.

How much time should I allow?

Custom creations take time. The turnaround time depends on the project and the time of year; it will be established with you before starting. Please allow at least 2 weeks for completion.

Can I choose the materials and colors?

Depending on your project, you can let me know the different materials, colors, papers, and finishes you would like to see included. I will be able to offer you options in the quote, based on what is available at the studio.

Can I have a project created using documents I already possess?

If you have a book to restore or documents to be bound, it will be my pleasure to discuss the appropriate course of action with you. Please note that round-trip shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Can you bring an idea to life that is not featured in your portfolio?

Yes, absolutely! The projects shown in the portfolio are for illustrative purposes. If you have an idea that doesn't resemble the examples shown, tell me about it by filling out the form below. That is precisely what makes custom work so interesting.
